The Port Hueneme Pier was originally constructed in 1956 and is 1,250 feet long and is enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. The pier offers sweeping views of the Channel Islands and California coastline. The pier is next to a wide, sandy, and uncrowded beach.

Whales and other marine mammals can be viewed best from the end of the pier.

WHEN TO SEE WHALES

Whales and other marine mammals are best viewed from the end of the pier. Migrating gray whales, humpback whales, and Orca whales are spotted between January – March and September and June – September. The whales pass between the mainland and Channel Islands.
