AMENITIES

Trails

Milner Gardens is a seaside garden in Qualicum Beach on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Located on the traditional lands of the Qualicum First Nation and overlooking the Strait of Georgia, the cliff top provides an excellent opportunity to view marine mammals.

The gardens contains paths among old growth Douglas fir forests, a rhododendron garden, and a traditional tea room.

WHERE THE WHALES ARE

Look out from the cliff top and you may hear them before you see them, as steller and California sea lions frequent the area especially in spring during the annual herring spawn. You may also see frolicking harbor seals, the dorsal fins of killer whales, the misty woosh of air from a humpback whale’s spout, and the occasional porpoise or dolphin.
