Neck Point is a scenic headland overlooking the Salish Sea. Here, deep coastal waters pass close to shore, making it an excellent place to watch for whales and other marine mammals as they travel through this important marine corridor. Orcas, humpback whales, and porpoises may be seen moving through the area, alongside seabirds and other forms of coastal wildlife. Neck Point is located within the traditional and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation, a Coast Salish people whose lands and waters span much of Eastern Vancouver Island and the surrounding Salish Sea.

WHERE THE WHALES ARE

A hiking trail follows the shoreline around Neck Point. Look for whales at any point along that trail, or from the Whale Trail sign.
