WHERE THE WHALES ARE
Look west towards Victoria across Haro strait to see orcas during the summer months. This is a very important feeding area for the Southern Residents during summer months. Look southwest across the Strait of Juan de Fuca towards the open Pacific ocean where whales enter and exit the inland waters of Washington State and Canada. The best place to see whales is from a viewpoint near Granny’s Cove, about 1/4 mile walk from the entrance to the park.
