WHERE THE WHALES ARE

Pismo Beach is a great a site for whale watching as numbers of grays and humpback whales show up yearly to feed, drawing visitors and locals alike hoping to catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures. The Whale Trail sign is located on the Pismo Beach Pier. The pier is currently undergoing repairs and is closed to the public, although the adjoining Pier Promenade area remains open and accessible. The project is on schedule for completion with a tentative date of late December 2018.
