Visitor Center, Wheelchair Accessible

Langley Whale Center is run by Volunteer Docents and open Thursdays through Sundays, 11 am till 5 pm. Free Admission to our Educational Exhibits, which include a Harbor Porpoise skeleton and other bone and pelt specimens.  Learn about the Endangered Southern Resident Orcas, Transient Orcas and Gray Whales.  Great outing for all ages!

WHERE THE WHALES ARE

Check out our Whale Sightings Map, which shows where whales have been seen from Anacortes to Tacoma. Gray Whales are sighted near Langley in the spring, Southern Resident Orcas are usually sighted in Admiralty Inlet in the fall. Transient Orcas and Humpbacks have been seen throughout the year. Recent Whale sightings are posted on our Orca Network Facebook page. Check out Whale Bell Park!

WHEN TO SEE WHALES

Gray Whales are sighted daily near Langley in March and April.

Southern Resident Orcas are seen in Admiralty Inlet, west side of Whidbey most often in the fall, but may be seen at other times of the year.

Transient Orcas and Humpback Whales are sighted from Whidbey throughout the year.

TRAVEL TIPS

From Seattle take the Mukilteo-Clinton Ferry to Whidbey Island.  From Clinton take WA-525 to Langley Road, Turn Right on Langley Road, which turns into Camano Ave. in Langley.  Camano turns into 6th, then turn right on Anthes.

From North of Whidbey take Deception Pass Bridge, going South on WA-20. Right on WA-20 in Oak Harbor. WA-20 turns into WA-525. Turn Left on Bayview Road, Left on Anthes Ave.
